Quality Control System

JACEDB upholds rigorous standards of scholarly quality through a structured and transparent peer review and production process designed to ensure academic integrity, methodological soundness, and editorial excellence.

During the Peer Review Process

Submission of a manuscript to JACEDB implies that it is being considered exclusively by the journal at the time of submission. The manuscript must not have been previously published, simultaneously submitted elsewhere, or accepted for publication in whole or in part by another journal.

Authors are required to designate one corresponding author who will serve as the primary contact for all communications with the journal. Upon submission, a formal acknowledgment of receipt is issued.

All manuscripts are initially screened by the Editor for suitability and compliance with journal requirements. Suitable submissions are then forwarded for internal and/or external peer review. Editorial Board members who are listed as authors of a submitted manuscript are excluded from all editorial and publication decisions concerning that manuscript to ensure impartiality and transparency.

Reviewer Selection

Reviewers are identified by members of the Editorial Board, from the journal’s internal reviewer database, or through reputable scholarly indexing platforms such as PubMed and Web of Science.

During submission, authors are encouraged—but not required—to suggest two or three qualified reviewers with relevant subject-matter expertise. Suggested reviewers must not be affiliated with the same institution(s) as the author(s) and should have no conflicts of interest. The final selection of reviewers rests solely with the Editor.

To promote efficiency, transparency, and timely processing, the journal manages and monitors the peer review process electronically through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform available on the journal website.

Editing and Publication Process

Following acceptance, manuscripts proceed through a structured editorial and production workflow:

  1. The accepted manuscript undergoes professional language editing to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to academic standards.
  2. The edited version is reviewed by copy editors, who refine the text and communicate with authors to resolve any editorial queries.
  3. The copyedited manuscript is then forwarded to the typesetting editor, who prepares the formatted PDF version using professional publishing software.
  4. Authors are provided with page proofs for final review and approval.
  5. The article is first released as “Online First” to facilitate early dissemination.
  6. Finally, the article is formally assigned to a specific journal issue and published accordingly.

Through this comprehensive quality control framework, JACEDB ensures the integrity, accuracy, and scholarly merit of all published content.
