Femoral neck fractures remain an important orthopedic challenge, especially in the elderly and subtle to displaced frail patients, where bipolar hemiarthroplasty is favored for treating displaced fractures when life expectancy is limited. A prospective, observational study was carried out in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, Bangladesh, from January to December of 2024, to analyze the functional results of femoral neck fractures managed with bipolar hemiarthroplasty and to measure their associated complications and patient satisfaction rates.. Seventy-seven patients who underwent bipolar hemiarthroplasty for the treatment of femoral neck fractures were analyzed. Clinical outcomes were evaluated using Harris Hip Score and patients were followed for complications. The average age of the patients was 68.5±12.3 years; a female predominance was observed (64.9%). Good to exellent results were obtained in 81.8% considering Harris Hip Score. The total complication rate was 15.6% with a dislocation as the most frequent (6.5%). Mean duration of hospital stay was 8.2±3.1 days. Our data showed that the functional results of bipolar hemiarthroplasty for femoral neck fractures were satisfactory and that its complications could be tolerated, which indicates a beneficial role in suitable patients.
