Coconut (Cocos nucifera) as a significant resource may provide a sustainable supply of engineered wood product, such as cross laminated timber (CLT), particularly in regions without sufficient conventional timber sources. This study aims to evaluate the performance of CLT made from coconut. The results revealed that coconut CLT had higher air-dry density, moisture content and water absorption due to its laminated structure compared with solid coconut beam. Meanwhile, modulus of rupture (MOR) of coconut CLT beam was 45.54 N/mm², 5.73% slightly higher than solid coconut beam with MOR value of 43.07 N/mm². As for modulus of elasticity (MOE), compressive properties (fc) and compression modulus (Ec) of coconut CLT (10258.82, 31.84 and 840.93 N/mm², respectively) were higher compared to that of the solid coconut beam. (6687.67, 21.15 and 538.35 N/mm², respectively). Thus, coconut CLT fulfilled acceptable performance standards for structural and furniture usage that demonstrated a promising environmentally friendly material.
