Beware of a fraudulent website of BANGLADESH JOURNAL OF PHARMACOLOGY !!

Recently, starting from May 21, 2025, a fraudulent website has appeared, falsely claiming to represent the Bangladesh Journal of Pharmacology. This site is listed as a hijacked journal on The Retraction Watch Hijacked Journal Checker – Retraction Watch).

How to Identify It

a) Type the words "Bangladesh Journal of Pharmacology" into any search engine (for example, Google.com). The URL should be different from https://banglajol.info/index.php/BJP or https://bdpsjournal.org/index.php/bjp.

b) The names and affiliations of the Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board Members are missing.

c) There are no "Author's guidelines".

d) Does not provide a DOI number for each article, which is important for all articles.

e) Page numbers of each article (from the first page to the last page) do not continue onto the next article.

f) Encourage the authors to publish their papers through rapid publication.

g) They provide the corresponding authors with a fake acceptance letter in PDF format or through multiple emails:

journaleditor.bjp@gmail.com; bdpharmajournal@gmail.com (be careful)

and provide the corresponding author, the bank name: AXIS BANK, Branch: Shalimar, IFSC Code: UTIB0004621, GHAZIABAD, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA for payment, then please don't pay any money to that bank.

h) Receive money from authors as Article Processing Charge (APC). Special rate (higher) for Chinese/Saudi authors. Authors are instructed to make payments to a bank account located in India rather than Bangladesh. Additionally, the payment is requested to be made to a personal account instead of the official "Bangladesh Pharmacological Society" account.

i) They publish papers on chemistry, biology, and public health, which are unrelated to the journal's title. Within the last 150 days, they published 45 papers of various types, including Law, Business, and Computer Science. Of these, 32 were withdrawn by the authors. Some authors failed to withdraw their papers because the hijacked journal's authority demanded additional payment as a withdrawal fee. Recently, they have stopped responding to corresponding authors' emails after receiving payment.
