Aims & Scope

This article is published in the Mother Language Research Journal by the International Mother Language Institute. The content of this work is protected under international copyright law. No part of this publication may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means, including photocopying, recording, or other electronic or mechanical methods, without prior written permission from the author or the publisher. Proper citation is required for any academic or scholarly use.

Mother Language (ML) is a Research Journal on Language and related issues. It publishes on:

Language and linguistics, Language planning and policy, Mother Language situation,
Preservation and standardization of language, Invention of phonology, Morphology etc.
Linguistic diversity, Socio-linguistics, Forensic linguistics, Documentary linguistics,
Language disorders, Language teaching/learning, Literature.

The Journal is taken into consideration during the review process: An article reviews by two reviewers. If one gives positive report and the other gives negative, then the article is sent to third reviewer.

Publication Frequency

Mother Language (ML) is published bi-annually twice in a year by International Mother Language Institute (IMLI), Shahid Captain Mansur Ali Sarani, 1/Ka Segunbagicha, Dhaka-1000, Bangladesh (www.imli.gov.bd). Manuscripts for publication should be submitted and books for review sent to the Assistant Editor via imli.moebd@gmail.com. Applications for subscription, orders for current and back issues etc. should be sent to the Publication Officer visa imli.moebd@gmail.com. Copyright 2021 by International Mother Language Institute. Mother Language is printed in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Article Processing Fees

There is no article processing fee.

Source of Support

Funded by International Mother Language lnstitute (IMLI). International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) is a autonomous institute. So it’s funded by the government of the people's republic of Bangladesh. As a institute of  autonomous and registered non-political, non-profitable, voluntary and scientific association for awareness of education and research in the language research field, this institute could be right to expenses its fund for research based any kind of jobs. So there are two ways of Source of Support. Such as:

1. This institute is offered publication grants from the government of the people's republic of Bangladesh.

2. Getting fund from selling publications such as research journals, books etc.
