About the Journal
Aims & Scope
Jagannath University Journal of Arts (JnUJArts) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed academic journal that is devoted to the study of various branches of the arts and humanities. It is a half-yearly journal, which publishes 2 (two) issues in one volume per year, in June and December. It focuses on different issues and advancements related to the arts and humanities. The JnUJArts is a peer-reviewed journal that takes an interdisciplinary and holistic perspective to encourage researchers in publishing their research works from a variety of disciplines and fields of Bangla Language and Literature, English, Philosophy, History, Modern Language, Linguistics, Education and Research, etc. The editorial board encourages authors to submit papers on the relevant issues, especially those aimed at the practitioner as much as the academic. The articles should enhance our understanding of the said topic/discipline, and make a significant original contribution to knowledge.
The scope of the JnUJArts focuses on theoretical and empirical research in various fields of Arts and Humanities, including interdisciplinary research. The journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts from the following [not limited] categories.

Policy of review
JnUJArts is a half-yearly peer-reviewed journal. At first, the corresponding author of a paper sends the original manuscript (both soft and hard copy) along with a plagiarism test report (similarity index must be below 30%) to the Editor-in-Chief. The Editorial Board decides at the board meeting whether the manuscript is suitable for the Journal or not. If so, the paper is then sent to the referee for review. Usually, the reviewer gets 15-30 days to review the paper. However, the editorial board takes the final decision on including a submission for publication.
Focal points of the review process
The focal points of the review process are mentioned below:
- Jagannath University Journal of Arts (JnUJArts) is an academic research journal. Each manuscript is scrutinized by the editorial board and reviewed by 1(one) potential referee or scholar on a relevant field. The suggested manuscript is also re-reviewed by the editorial board.
- 1 (one) reviewer, a specialist in the field, is recommended by the Chief Editor or members of the editorial board for reviewing each manuscript.
- The reviewer must not be below the position of Associate Professor and have a Ph.D. degree or equivalent. The under-reviewed manuscript should be acquainted with his/her field of research.
- The review comments are divided into four levels: (a) accept,
- minor revision,
- major revision, and
- (Details on review decisions are discussed in the author’s guidelines).
- The editor-in-chief informs the authors about the reviewers’ comments (acceptances, rejections, or modifications). Authors can amend the manuscript, provide supplementary material, and rebut comments based on the reviewer’s suggestions.
- Only 1 (one) paper written by the author/s can be printed in the same issue of the

Ethical issues
Each article is reviewed and published, maintaining the code of ethics and avoiding plagiarism. A declaration, undersigned by the author, is submitted to the Editor-in-Chief regarding ethical and plagiarism issues.
Publication Frequency
Jagannath University Journal of Arts (JnUJArts) is published twice a year (June and December); two issues (one volume) each year.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Article Processing Fees
There are no article processing charges (APCs) or submission charges. Readers can copy, distribute, and use their attributed research for non-commercial purposes free of charge. Our journal retains copyright of the articles through a Creative Commons Attribution- Unported (CC BY SA 4.0). Full text of all the contents is always available on the website https://www.jnu.ac.bd/journal/portal/archives/arts.jsp.
Source of Support
Jagannath University bears all the costs for the publication of the journal. Editor and Editorial board do not get any payment or salary for this specific job.
