About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The aims and scope of the Bangladesh Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics are to upgrade orthodontic education, research, orthodontic practice and treatment delivery in Bangladesh and to stay competitive with international arena of orthodontics with an emphasis on the following areas

To improve orthodontic education & research

  • Clinical studies
  • Efficacy of orthodontic appliances,
  • Introduction of  newer techniques
  • Systematic reviews
  • Mechanisms to improve and speed orthodontic treatment

The journal seeks to publish

  • Original articles
  • Definitive reports of wide interest to the orthodontic community,
  • Case Reports
  • Short Communications
  • Review  articles on current topics

All  reviewed accepted articles are published free of charge.

Publication Frequency

The Journal is published bi-annually in the months of April & October. There are two issues per volume.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
