Abstract

Objectives: Ultrasonography is a gold standard diagnostic procedure. Knowing the length of liver and gallbladder wall thickness is very useful and accurate in diagnosing hepatobiliary disorders. The aim of the present study was carried out to create an ultrasound-guided morphometric database of the liver and gallbladder.

Materials and methods: This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted on a total of 168 participants (72 males and 96 females). Liver length and gall bladder wall thickness were measured by USG.

Result: Statistically significant increase liver length was found in males.

Conclusion: Statistically significant difference was found regarding length of liver between males and female.
