About the Journal

 

Focus and Scope

  1. As a part of the continuous endeavor towards knowledge & dedication to the professional development of the fellow physicians in the country, Bangladesh Society of Critical Care Medicine (BSCCM) is publishing ‘Bangladesh Critical Care JournalÂ’ (abb: Bangladesh crit. care j.); [ISSN: 2304-0009] [EISSN: 2307-7654]
  2. First issue was published in March 2013 and the plan was to publish it biannually.
  3. The scope of this journal is purely scientific & professional development with its primary aim targeted towards caregivers of Bangladesh. It also aims towards more functional communication between critical care professionals of other countries for mutual benefit.
  4. It is a peer reviewed, open access journal. The review process is guided and decision to publish is solely made by the Editorial Board. By open access we mean: The author(s) and copyright holder(s) grant(s) to all users a free, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual right of access to, and a license to copy, use, distribute, transmit and display the work publicly and to make and distribute derivative works, in any digital medium for any responsible purpose, subject to proper attribution of authorship, as well as the right to make small numbers of printed copies for their personal use. There will be a complete electronic copy in a repository with easy access for all users.
  5. Content: To ensure high quality manuscripts, we need to ensure effort at personal level for publishing our own quality work & also to collect good works from colleagues. The following types of manuscripts are to be published.

    • Review
    • Case Reports
    • Clinical Image
    • Brief Communication
    • Basic Research
    • Medical News
    • Reprints & articles discussing trendsetting discoveries & guidelines in the relevant field.
    • Other educational material that may promote scientific thinking of the fellow physicians.

Peer Review Process

Each manuscript will be thoroughly reviewed by the review board & standard will not be compromised. However the final decision will be made by the Chief Editor & Executive Editor. Published author guideline will be strictly followed and time to time updated.

Publication Frequency

The journal publishes two issues per volume in March and September.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
