About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Research/ Original articles, mini-review, case study, letter to the editor are published here. It aims to serve every community related to mental health, like- psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical psychologists, social scientists and occupational therapists.

Peer Review Process

Articles sent by authors are sent to two independent reviewers (double blind peer review) anonymously. Reviewers belong to the Editorial Board mainly; in some cases we consult external reviewers. The usual responses are: accepted for publishing, (minor/major) revisions required, resubmit for review, and rejected. Our aim is to encourage scientific writings in our relatively small community of mental health professionals. That’s why we send the article to authors multiple times with corrections (advised by reviewers) before final acceptance or rejection. If major revisions are needed, the revised version will be re-evaluated by at least one of the reviewers. Based on the reviewers' recommendations and suggestions by other editors (if any); the executive editor decides finally about whether a contribution will be published or not. The authors are informed of the rejection and its reasons. Thus, total process usually needs 2-3 months. There are no submission or article processing charges.
