Narayan Chandra Kundu, Quadruddin Ahmad
Abstract
Headache is a frequent health problem in children and adolescents. It is estimated that headache occurs in around 70% of adolescents and 25% of younger children. This ranks headache and migraine in the top five health problems of childhood. Headache in children is often considered as an excuse to abstain from studies and school; and thus not taken seriously by adults. This article highlights the importance of headache in children and provides evidence based treatment guidelines in this group of patient.
