Focus and Scope

The aim of the Bangladesh Journal of Infectious Diseases (Bangladesh J Infect Dis) is to publish and disseminate the research works on the area of medical science at any discipline related to infections, its immunology as well as the diagnostic breakthrough. Furthermore, this journal provides accessible rooms for the researchers of all sectors of medical and health science at anywhere in Bangladesh as well as the researchers of whole world who are engaging on the research works related to infectious diseases. This journal publishes the peer-reviewed articles in English language in biannual manner in June and December in every year. Full text articles are freely accessible in PDF format at the online as well.

This journal aims to publish scientifically written, evidence-based articles from all disciplines of medical sciences which are related to infections. Clinical practice, nursing, preventive medicine, epidemiology, healthcare research which are related to infectious agents like prions, virus, bacteria, protozoa, helminthes are also eligible for submission of articles. It also publishes valuable studies in Allied Medicine and Biological Sciences including Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Alternative and Complementary Medicine and other related fields which is related to antibiotics, antibiotic resistant as well as any infectious agents which are public health concern.

Bangladesh J Infect Dis strives to provide a platform for researchers and scholars worldwide to exchange their latest findings regarding the infection. Authors are encouraged to submit complete, unpublished, original works that are not under review in any other journals. The scopes of the journal include the following fields in addition to others; such as medical practice and clinical practice, and nursing, preventive medicine, epidemiology, healthcare research. It also publishes valuable studies in Allied Medicine and Biological Sciences including Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Alternative and Complementary Medicine and other related fields related to infections. The editors welcome Major Articles and Brief Reports describing research results on microbiology, immunology, epidemiology, and related disciplines, on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases; on the microbes that cause them; and on disorders of host immune responses.

Bangladesh J Infect Dis covers immunity related to human diseases, innante immunity, microbiology, pathology, bacteriology, virology, pathophysiology, bacterial infections, viral infections, infection surveillance and pediatric infections. BJID do not stick to particular area of research, as infectious diseases are a vast field it covers all areas. BJID is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of avoiding, diagnosing and management of infectious and sexually transmitted diseases in humans, similarly associated genetics, pathophysiology, and medical specialty.
