Focus and Scope

Bangladesh Journal of Bioethics (BJBio) is a peer reviewed and open access Journal. It publishes high-quality original scientific papers, review articles and short communications. BjBio is published in English only. Manuscripts must be submitted on the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere and are only being considered by this journal. There is no submission fee, no article processing or publication fee. It is completely free.

Bioethics promotes strong ethical value, practice of ethics, and morality in Science, Social Science, Commerce and Humanities. Therefore, the scope of the journal is broad, encompassing all aspects of Medical ethics, Research ethics, Public Health ethics Animal ethics, Environmental ethics, Publication ethics ethics in  Dentistry, ethics in Agriculture,  Food Science ethics, Nutrition ethics, ethics in Pharmaceutical Science, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular and Life Sciences, ethics in Social Science, Media ethics, Political ethics, Ethics in art, music and literature.

The journal is published three times a year in March, July and November.

Authorship:

Journal follow the authorship criteria of International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The authors are those who can take responsibility for a specific section of the research and take public responsibility for its contents during any allegation.

Acknowledgement: A single contributions are not adequate to justify authorship e.g the acquisition of funding, providing laboratory space, instrumentation, unusual materials, supervision position of a research group, involvement in patients or animal care, providing patient samples, the collection of data, statistical analysis, editing assistance, proof reading or editing of manuscripts, editors, statisticians, medical writers or translators. Their contribution can be rewarded in the acknowledge section.

Charges and Fees Policy

Publication and full text materials of Bangladesh Journal of Bioethics are free of costs. Journal does not charge any Article Processing Charge (APC) and submission fees from the author.
